Many people enjoy watching the Scooby-Doo TV shows and Movies. The classic character always has a mystery in every show that has to be solved. Did you know, that just like in Scooby-Doo, the Bible is a “mystery”?
3 how that by revelation He made known to me the mystery (as I have briefly written already, 4 by which, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ),
Yes, the Bible does have a mystery in it. But what is the mystery? Christ!
The mystery is no mystery anymore but can be made know to EVERYONE!
Throughout the Old Testament, writers have given “clues” that points to Christ. (Gen 3:15; Isa 7:14; Isa 53)
Just like when watching Scooby-Doo, the clues can be a little confusing at first. Just ask some of the Old Testament Jews, who tried to figure out when these clues would come true, and who they were about. But once it was revealed, people understood what the mystery was. Christ!
I’ve notice, it’s fun to re-watch the Scooby-Doo shows and see how clues matched the mystery. It helps you understand exactly how things fit together in the story. Same thing with the Bible. Once you see the mystery revealed, you can match the clues of the O.T. and see the wisdom of God that continued throughout time.
10 to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places, 11 according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord,
With this being known, we can have trust and confidence in God when we are having tough times. We can know that He has a plan for us and we are to live as He has commanded. God gave His son for us and if we live and obey Him, we can have peace with Him on earth and in Heaven.
12 in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him. 13 Therefore I ask that you do not lose heart at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.
